| Jungle Home is suitable as weekend getaway near Bangalore for corporate tours and team outings. Jungle Home is a private guest house situated on the Mudumalai forest border, just after Bandipur.
Jungle Home, a private guest house on Mudumalai forest border can accommodate 35 people at maximum on sharing basis. Our USP is we don’t charge for extra bed or we don’t mind teams adjusting to accommodate more than our rated capacity.

1. What types of accommodation does Jungle Home have?
A. Jungle Home has one 2 bed room/hall cottage, one double room, three bedded family room, four bedded family room. The pictures of the cottage and rooms can be seen in the highlights of Jungle Home page.
We have another campus called Deep Jungle Home with one village style mud cottage surrounded on three sides by forest. Pictures and details of Deep Jungle Home are available here.
2. How many people can Jungle Home accommodate on our weekend trip from Bangalore?

If you take all our units in Jungle Home campus ie cottage can accommodate 8, double room can accommodate 4, three bedded family room can accommodate 5, four bedded family room can accommodate 6, and you can accommodate 23 people.
If you take our other campus Deep Jungle Home, you can accommodate another 8 people. We don't charge for extra people. So your weekend group can accommodate more people at your convenience.
3. What are your check in / check out times?
A. Our check in is 11AM on day one to check out 10 AM on day two.
4. What are the food charges?
A. Food is Rs. 410 per person per day which covers your lunch, dinner, breakfast next day morning. Menu is available online.
5. What are the activities possible at Jungle Home?
A. Forest department safari, campfire, night jeep ride, trekking on forest border. Safari is organised by forest department at Mudumalai and Bandipur. You need to go to the forest department office by 3:30 PM and buy the safari tickets to do the van safari.
We can arrange for camp fire, night jeep ride on the forest peripheral roads, morning trekking along forest border.

7. Should be a typical itinerary suitable for a weekend trip from Bangalore?
- Day 1: Start early from Bangalore, 6 hour drive to Jungle home (240 km from Bangalore)
- Day 1: 0330 PM to 0630 PM: Safari in Bandipur or Mudumalai forest office
- Day 1: Night campfire at Jungle Home / jeep ride
- Day 2: 06:30 AM a short trek on the forest border
- Day 2: 10 AM start back to Bangalore
- Day 2: On the way back, if time permits, visit Gopal Swamy Betta and back to Bangalore
8. Do you arrange transport from Bangalore or Mysore to Jungle Home?
A. We don’t arrange transport but we can recommend a taxi operator

9. What about road tax?
A. We are located in Tamilnadu right opposite the RTO Checkpost. You can’t avoid paying tax. Hence inform your taxi operator in advance about the tax features and to bring the original documents.
10. What is the best way to avoid road tax?
A. Hire a bus with 30 or more seats capacity on casual contract from KSRTC. They don’t have to pay road tax. You can contact them on 9980915152 / 080 22353054 / 080 22375860.
